We live in a remarkable cultural age that provides abundant options for every aspect of our lives but makes us less capable of determining what we really want amidst all the options.
We are more informed about largescale, global and cultural issues but less aware of our inner-lives, our sense of deep calling and even present relational dynamics.
We have more pathways for education and learning for every field in every area of life and yet we tend towards shortcuts and quick answers instead of slow, elaborative learning and formation.
How do we sift through all this noise and these endless options?
During this season, we will explore how Jesus uniquely shapes and guides the discovery of our Identity and Calling. Together we will seek to align our understanding of identity under this life with Jesus and, then, learn to discover the unique calling that emerges as we reorder our lives under his.
Each season is 6-month journey around a particular theme, so begin each gathering with group discussion and Q&A with our speakers focusing on the primary questions that surface during the previous month of learning and practice.
As a way of orienting our attention and focus to what God is doing in and through us, we will create space to listen (through prayer, scripture, or contemplative practice) and prepare ourselves to attend to God’s leading during our time together.
Each month a speaker will guide us through another aspect of the seasonal theme and dive deeply into the life and teaching of Jesus.
Each gathering ends with an extended time of corporate worship: men and women from churches throughout Orange County worshiping together in unity as the Church and opening ourselves to the presence and ministry of the Holy Spirit through prayer.
