"The Spirit-filled life is not a special, deluxe edition of Christianity. It is part and parcel of the total plan of God for His people." -- A. W. Tozer
Over the past three seasons at the Way, we have been seeking to order our lives around the life and lifestyle of Jesus. We began with this simple notion that if we are going to learn to be with Jesus and take on his teaching then we must slow our lives to a pace where we do not outrun his leading.
As we do, we discover that we can take on his way of life and genuinely grow in Christlikeness and become like him: abiding with the Father in love and filled with the presence and power of Holy Spirit.
This does not happen under our own power but through our participation with the power and initiation of the Holy Spirit. Jesus lived the perfectly Spirit-filled, Spirit-led and Spirit-empowered life. And, His promise to His apprentices is that that they would receive power when the same Spirit came on them. This would allow them to be set on fire for the sake of the world—and do what Jesus did.
We live in a time when the lives and gatherings of Jesus followers can often feel powerless—all too dependent on our strength, strategy and resource. All the while, there seems to be a growing hunger in churches across our County… an expectant longing to see and experience what can only be explained by the presence and power of God. How do we position ourselves to receive more of whatever He has to give? In following the way of Jesus, we will invest the next season of the “The Way” towards practical ways we can explore the Life in the Spirit together.
Join us over the Fall as we engage in teachings, conversations and encounters together for the sake of discovering more of the “naturally supernatural" life God intends for each one of us.
We begin the night with an extended time of worship. We allow our minds to shift from the tasks of the day - slowing down and tuning our hearts to be open to hear what the Holy Spirit might be speaking to us.
Stories build faith. If you have a story to share about how God is moving in your life, please reach out to our team!
Each month a speaker will guide us through another aspect of the seasonal theme and dive deeply into the life and teaching of Jesus.
Each gathering ends with an extended time of corporate worship: men and women from churches throughout Orange County worshiping together in unity as the Church and opening ourselves to the presence and ministry of the Holy Spirit through prayer.
